Liam Mooney,
Director of Marketing Strategy

Liam Mooney is currently a second-year PharmD student at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

Originally from Albany, New York, he attended Western New England University for his undergraduate studies, and graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences.

Liam is currently employed at Walmart Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern. He has maintained employment with Walmart since 2021, starting as a Pharmacy Technician in Training in Glenmont, New York. His responsibilities include vaccination record review, vaccine administration, medication and adherence counseling, and working with physicians to optimize medication plans for patients.

At UNC ESOP, Liam is the Director of Social Media and Marketing for the Industry Pharmacists Organization, the Secretary and Treasurer of the Class of 2026, the Outreach Committee Chair for the Student Pharmacist Opioid Misuse Prevention Taskforce, and the Fundraising Co-Chair for the Phi Delta Chi Pharmaceutical Fraternity.

His professional interests include market access, marketing, sales, treating patients with opioid and other substance use disorders, and chronic pain management.
