Megan Earnhart, Social Media Director
Megan Earnhart is currently a third-year PharmD student at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
Originally from Wilmington, North Carolina, she attended North Carolina State University for her undergraduate studies, and graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science.
At UNC ESOP, Megan is the Recruitment Chair for Mentoring Future Leaders in Pharmacy, and an Interprofessional Education Program distinguished scholar.
Megan has worked as a Research Assistant since November 2022 at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She worked with Dr. Stefanie Fererri and Dr. Tamera Hughes to determine a pharmacist's perspective on opioid harm reduction best practices from November 2022 to May 2023. She currently works with Dr. Stephen Eckel and Dr. Lori Armistead to compare Closed System Transfer Devices using NIOSH's Vapor Containment Performance Protocol, and has worked on this project since May 2023.
She has worked part-time at CVS Pharmacy since May 2018, promoted from Certified Pharmacy Technician to Pharmacy Internin May 2021. She also has worked at WakeMed since 2021, promoted from Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to a Medication Reconciliation Technician in March 2022.
Her professional interests include new drug development, medical affairs, cardiometabolic diseases, and new diabetes treatment options.
